DR. JOHN PASSANTINO, MD
Biography
Dr. John Passantino, MD is a board-certified internal medicine physician who leads a successful modern primary care practice in Broward County.
He completed his Intern Medicine residency at Staten Island University Hospital, affiliated with Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, where he gained extensive experience managing acute and complex medical conditions in a fast-paced, inpatient setting. Throughout his training, he developed strong diagnostic abilities and strengthened his capacity for rapid decision-making in critical situations. In his final year of residency, he was awarded Teaching Resident of the Year and Top Poster Presentation for his work on Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).
After completing his residency training, he and his family moved to South Florida looking for new opportunities. He began his medical career as a hospitalist, delivering inpatient care across various hospitals throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties where he became well-regarded by his peers for his strong communication skills, comprehensive management plans, and efficiency with ultrasound/non-ultrasound guided inpatient procedures.
Although he continues to work as an Internist in the inpatient setting, he has begun a new journey into outpatient medicine. Dr. Passantino is focused on providing personalized, preventive, and holistic primary care to residents throughout his community. His foundation of experience has greatly informed his current approach to primary care, allowing him to deliver attentive, well-rounded, and proactive treatment to all of his patients.
